Rumble Fish (1983)

Directed by Francis Ford Coppola. With Matt Dillon, Mickey Rourke, Diane Lane.

"Rumble Fish" is the story of Rusty James (played by Matt Dillon) who has problems following the footsteps of his brother (Mickey Rourke). The poster makes it look like another take on "The Outsiders" or "The Warriors", but it's much more than that. A staggering movie full of symbolism and great performances by Dillon, Rourke and their co-stars Dennis Hopper, Diane Lane and Nicolas Cage.

Hauptprotagonist des Films ist Rusty James, der von Matt Dillon gespielt wird. Rusty hat damit zu kämpfen dass sein Bruder (Mickey Rourke) der berüchtigte Anführer einer Gang war. Das Poster sieht aus, als handelte es sich um einen weiteren Gangfilm in der Tradition von "The Outsiders" oder "The Warriors", aber Rumble Fish hat weitaus mehr zu bieten. Ein faszinierender Film voller Symbolismus und tollen Leistungen von Dillon, Rourke sowie Dennis Hopper, Diane Lane und Nicolas Cage.
