A View to a Kill aka James Bond 007 – Im Angesicht des Todes (1985)

Directed by John Glen. With Roger Moore, Christopher Walken, Tanya Roberts.
The pic with James Bond on the Golden Gate Bridge - how cool was that? This was one of the worst Bond movies though. What remains is an awesome soundtrack, a great C64 game and the video to Duran Durans title track.

Witness aka Der einzige Zeuge (1985)

Directed by Peter Weir. Starring Harrison Ford, Kelly McGillis, Lukas Haas.

Lukas Haas is Samuel, an amish boy who witnesses a murder in a lavatory. A cop named John Book (Harrison Ford) tries to protect Haas and his mother (Kelly McGillis) from the killer, a corrupt cop. Minor directors would have used this story to give us some cheap thrills. Peter Weir choses another path and takes much time for portraying the amish and the clash of cultures which happens when Book begins to live among them. A great movie.
